Brennan Othmann had high expectations going into training camp but ultimately did not make the New York Rangers' opening night roster. Coach Peter Laviolette recognized Othmann's potential and noted that while he showed flashes of skill, he needs to work on consistency in his game. Laviolette believes that playing more minutes and in various situations with the Hartford Wolf Pack in the AHL will aid Othmann's development. Coming off a solid season where he recorded 21 goals and 28 assists, Othmann has the opportunity to build on that momentum.
