The Buffalo Sabres have placed six players on waivers as they finalize their roster, a move not uncommon across the league. Among those waived are Joshua Dunne, Mason Jobst, Brett Murray, Colton Poolman, Jack Rathbone, and Felix Sandstrom.
Three former Sabres—Casey Fitzgerald, Brandon Biro, and Christian Wolanin—are also on waivers. Fitzgerald, if he clears, could bolster the Hartford Wolf Pack. Biro recently signed a two-way deal with the Seattle Kraken after spending most of his time in the AHL with the Amerks.
Wolanin's brief stint with the Sabres ended quickly after being claimed off waivers from the Los Angeles Kings, and he has since been with the Vancouver Canucks organization.
