The New York Rangers have sent forward Matt Rempe back to the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack after a brief recall. Despite being dressed for games, Rempe has seen limited action this season.

With Jimmy Vesey returning from long-term injured reserve, roster space became a concern. Rempe needs more playing time to develop his skills, and the AHL offers him that opportunity. At 22, he still has time to grow into a reliable NHL player, but he must also gain the trust of referees to avoid being unfairly targeted.
