The Ottawa Senators have secured forward Ridly Greig with a four-year contract extension valued at US$13 million, averaging $3.25 million per year. The announcement was made on Friday, highlighting the team's commitment to the young player.
At just 22 years old, Greig has played 129 NHL games across three seasons with the Senators. He achieved personal bests during the 2023-24 season, playing 72 games and recording 13 goals, 13 assists, and a total of 26 points. Greig was drafted 28th overall by Ottawa in 2020.
Despite Greig's promising development, the Senators are struggling, having lost four consecutive games and six out of their last seven. They are set to face the Pittsburgh Penguins in their next matchup.
