The Pittsburgh Penguins have officially assigned eight players to their AHL affiliate, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. This move includes forwards Emil Bemstrom, Jonathan Gruden, Samuel Poulin, Joona Koppanen, defensemen Nate Clurman and Filip Kral, and goaltenders Taylor Gauthier and Filip Larsson.

Among these players, Poulin stood out last season as the leading scorer with 31 points in 41 games. The WBS Penguins are set to kick off their season on October 12 against the Charlotte Checkers.
