The San Jose Sharks have placed rookie Macklin Celebrini on injured reserve due to a lower-body injury, just two days after his impressive NHL debut where he scored a goal and an assist.
Celebrini, the first overall pick in June, made history as the youngest player to record two points in the first period of his debut. He is currently considered week to week by coach Ryan Warsofsky as the team looks to rebuild.
