Fraser Minten has returned to the Toronto Maple Leafs after a brief period with the Marlies, following David Kämpf's placement on injured reserve due to a lower-body injury.
The 20-year-old forward has shown promise with two goals and two assists in five AHL games. Coach Craig Berube acknowledged the need for Minten's development but ultimately decided that recalling him was necessary.
With multiple players sidelined, including Auston Matthews and Ryan Reaves, Minten's recall adds depth to the forward lineup.
