The Utah Hockey Club has placed defenseman Juuso Valimaki on waivers. Valimaki, 26, has recorded five points and 14 penalty minutes while averaging over 16 minutes of ice time in 43 games this season. The move follows the return of teammates John Marino and Sean Durzi from injuries, which pushed him out of the lineup. If he clears waivers, he could be assigned to the Tucson Roadrunners in the AHL. Interestingly, Valimaki was a healthy scratch during Finland's recent 4 Nations Face-Off tournament despite being selected for the roster.
