The Vancouver Canucks have traded defenceman Tucker Poolman and a 2025 fourth-round draft pick to the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for defenceman Erik Brannstrom.
Brannstrom, 25, previously played six seasons with the Ottawa Senators before joining the Avalanche. He had a productive season in 2023-24, recording three goals and 17 assists in 76 games.
Poolman, who has been sidelined due to a head injury, is expected to miss the entire 2024-25 season. Vancouver will retain 20% of his salary as part of the trade.
