The Vancouver Canucks have made a significant trade, acquiring defenseman Erik Brannstrom from the Colorado Avalanche. In return, they sent Tucker Poolman and a fourth-round pick for the 2025 NHL Draft.
General manager Patrik Allvin confirmed that the Canucks will retain 20% of Poolman's salary, who has struggled with health issues and is not expected to play in the upcoming season. Brannstrom, a former first-round pick, brings experience and skill to the Canucks' defense.
