New York Yankees first baseman Anthony Rizzo placed on 10-day injured list with a broken arm. Rizzo will be shut down for four to five weeks but won't need surgery. Ben Rice called up to take his spot. Rizzo's injury occurred in a collision during a game against the Red Sox.

Rizzo batting .223 this season. Rice, a lefty batsman, has been performing well in the minor leagues.
