The Boston Red Sox have acquired All-Star left-hander Garrett Crochet from the Chicago White Sox in exchange for four prospects. Crochet, who had a challenging season with a 6-12 record and a 3.58 ERA, was a standout in his first year as a starter.
Selected 11th overall in the 2020 draft, Crochet made his MLB debut in 2020 and had a notable 2.82 ERA in 2021 before undergoing Tommy John surgery. He returned to the majors in May 2023 and showcased impressive velocity on his pitches.
