Chase Anderson signs one-year deal with Boston Red Sox after release from Pirates minor league deal. The 36-year-old pitcher had a 5.75 ERA last year with Tampa Bay and Colorado.

Anderson has played for several teams over 10 seasons and holds a 4.35 ERA. Boston placed Lucas Giolito on 60-day injured list.
