The Boston Red Sox have strengthened their pitching lineup by acquiring left-handed reliever Jovani Morán from the Minnesota Twins in exchange for catcher and infielder Mickey Gasper.
Morán, 27, has a career 4.15 ERA over 79 games with the Twins and has shown promise despite missing the previous season due to Tommy John surgery. Gasper, 29, is a switch-hitter who made his MLB debut last season with Boston.
