The Boston Red Sox have strengthened their bullpen by acquiring left-handed relief pitcher Jovani Morán from the Minnesota Twins in a trade completed on Christmas Eve.
In exchange, the Twins receive catcher/infielder Mickey Gasper. Morán, who missed the entire 2024 season due to Tommy John surgery, had a mixed performance in 2023, finishing with a 2-2 record and a 5.31 ERA over 42 1/3 innings.
This move adds to the Red Sox's offseason acquisitions, which include several notable pitchers.
