The Boston Red Sox have sidelined third baseman Rafael Devers for 10 days due to inflammation in his left shoulder. This decision comes after Devers struggled during a recent game against the Minnesota Twins, where he recorded one hit, walked once, and struck out three times.
Manager Alex Cora revealed that Devers sustained the injury while practicing in the batting cage and was set to undergo an MRI to assess the damage. Devers, who signed a lucrative 10-year deal earlier in the year, has had a solid season, hitting .272 with 28 homers and 83 RBIs across 138 games.
