Catcher Danny Jansen achieved a historic feat on Monday at Fenway Park, becoming the first player to participate for both the Boston Red Sox and the Toronto Blue Jays in the same game.
This unique event took place during the resumption of a suspended game originally played on June 26, where Jansen caught for the Red Sox after being traded from the Blue Jays.
The game, which resumed with Jansen now in a different uniform, was sanctioned under MLB rules, allowing substitutions as long as players were not part of the original suspension.
