David Fry, an All-Star utility player for the Cleveland Guardians, underwent reconstructive elbow surgery and is set for a lengthy recovery period of six to eight months. The procedure, performed by Dr. Keith Meister, involved repairing Fry's ulnar collateral ligament and addressing a strained flexor tendon.
Fry's injury had sidelined him for the latter part of the season, but he made significant contributions during the playoffs. The Guardians also made several roster moves, including activating pitchers from the injured list and a player accepting an assignment to Triple-A.
