The Cleveland Guardians have traded first baseman Josh Naylor to the Arizona Diamondbacks, making room for veteran Carlos Santana, who returns to the team on a one-year, $12 million contract. This move continues the Guardians' overhaul after their recent playoff exit.
Naylor, 27, had a breakout season with 31 home runs and 108 RBIs, while Santana, 38, brings extensive experience back to Cleveland. The trade also included right-hander Slade Cecconi and a competitive-balance draft pick.
