Shohei Ohtani made history by becoming the first player ever to achieve 50 home runs and 50 stolen bases in a single MLB season. He accomplished this milestone during a dominant performance against the Miami Marlins, where he hit three homers and stole two bases, leading the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 20-4 victory.
Ohtani's record-setting day included a career-best six hits, breaking the Dodgers' franchise record for home runs in a season previously held by Shawn Green. The victory also secured the Dodgers' position in the playoffs for the 12th consecutive year.
