The Milwaukee Brewers are not planning to trade their All-Star closer Devin Williams this offseason, according to USA Today Insider Bob Nightengale. General Manager Matt Arnold stated that the team considers Williams the best closer in baseball and will only entertain trade offers if the team falls out of contention.
Despite past trades of key players like Josh Hader and Corbin Burnes, the Brewers seem inclined to retain Williams, especially after a strong performance in the 2024 season. Williams, who has battled injuries, still posted impressive stats with a 1.25 ERA and 14 saves last season.
