The Minnesota Twins are set to reinstate outfielder Byron Buxton from the 10-day injured list before their matchup against the Cincinnati Reds. Buxton has been out since mid-August due to right hip inflammation.
Manager Rocco Baldelli confirmed this decision following a recent win against the Los Angeles Angels. To accommodate Buxton's return, utility player Austin Martin will be sent to Triple-A St. Paul.
This season, Buxton has struggled with injuries but has played 90 games, hitting .275 with 16 home runs and 49 RBIs.
