Lewis, who has primarily played third base, has limited experience at second, having only appeared in one game at that position in his major league career. The Twins are also considering their options in free agency, particularly regarding third base, where Alex Bregman is a notable target.

In addition to positional changes, Lewis's health remains a crucial factor, as he has struggled with injuries throughout his career, never playing more than 82 games in a season. When healthy, he has demonstrated significant power, hitting 16 home runs in 82 games last season.
