The New York Mets have acquired center fielder Jose Siri from the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for reliever Eric Orze. Siri, 29, struggled this season with a .187 batting average, hitting 18 home runs and driving in 47 runs. He has played four seasons in the majors, primarily with the Houston Astros and the Rays.
Eric Orze, a 27-year-old right-handed pitcher, made his MLB debut this year but had a rough outing with a 21.60 ERA for the Mets.
