Phil Maton has entered free agency after the New York Mets opted for a buyout instead of his contract option. In his debut season with the Mets, Maton posted a solid 2.51 ERA over 71 games.
Meanwhile, Sean Manaea has also opted for free agency, marking his third consecutive offseason without a contract. Despite a strong performance with a 3.47 ERA in 32 starts, he declined his $13.5 million option.
