The Pittsburgh Pirates struggled offensively for the second consecutive game, falling 3-1 to the St. Louis Cardinals. The Pirates’ only run came from a home run by Bryan De La Cruz, who also had a double. Despite Nick Gonzales and Bryan Reynolds reaching base in the eighth, they couldn’t capitalize on scoring chances.

The Cardinals took control with a triple from Luken Baker and a home run from Jordan Walker, along with an insurance run from Nolan Arenado. Bailey Falter pitched effectively for Pittsburgh, but it wasn't enough.
