Daulton Varsho of the Toronto Blue Jays has been recognized for his exceptional defensive skills, winning the American League Gold Glove Award and the Defensive Player of the Year from the Fielding Bible.
Additionally, he has been nominated for the Heart & Hustle Award, which celebrates players who embody the spirit of baseball. Fans can vote for Varsho until November 18, with winners announced on November 22.
Varsho, who joined the Blue Jays from the Arizona Diamondbacks, is expected to take on a full-time center field role in 2025. Despite a batting average of .214 in 2024, he contributed 18 home runs and 10 stolen bases.
The Blue Jays, who finished last in the American League East with a 74-88 record, are looking to enhance their roster this offseason and are reportedly interested in acquiring slugger Juan Soto.
