The Zach LaVine right foot situation isn’t getting any better. The Bulls guard was scheduled to be re-evaluated at the end of this week with a more definitive timetable expected to come out of that appointment.
Coach Billy Donovan reiterated that he doesn’t want to put a timetable on it, but the ankle has healed up pretty well while there is still foot discomfort. Dalen Terry, who stayed back in Chicago with LaVine, has some light at the end of the tunnel as his ankle sprain did not show swelling.
A positive update came with Torrey Craig, who is very close to returning to contact practices, barring any setbacks with plantar fasciitis in his right foot. The Bulls rookie Julian Phillips has shown good instincts and body control in his game.
The NBA has expanded the 2024 draft into a two-night event in New York on June 26 and 27, with the first round at the Barclays Center and Round 2 at ESPN’s Seaport District.
