Matt Ryan joins CBS Sports as a studio analyst on NFL Today, replacing Phil Simms and Boomer Esiason. Simms and Esiason's contracts expired after the Super Bowl. Ryan, a former NFL MVP, brings insight and passion to the show alongside James Brown, Nate Burleson, Bill Cowher, and JJ Watt.
Ryan, who played for the Atlanta Falcons and Indianapolis Colts, is a top-10 quarterback in NFL history in passing yards, touchdowns, completions, and attempts. The move is CBS Sports' first significant change under new president and CEO David Berson.
