A former Minnesota Timberwolves staffer has admitted to stealing a hard drive containing sensitive team information. Somak Sarkar pled guilty to unauthorized computer access and faces sentencing in July.
The hard drive stolen from Timberwolves executive Sachin Gupta included personal financial and business-related data, such as player contracts and NBA strategies. Gupta, with a background in analytics, previously worked at ESPN and oversaw the team's operations last season.
