The Los Angeles Lakers are nearing a two-way contract agreement with center Christian Koloko, signifying a strategic move for their frontcourt following Christian Wood's knee surgery.
Koloko, drafted 33rd overall in 2022, missed the previous season due to blood clot issues and still awaits clearance from the NBA’s Fitness-to-Play Panel. The Lakers will have to release one of their current two-way players to accommodate him.
Koloko showcased his defensive prowess during his time with the Toronto Raptors before being waived last January.
