During his time on the ice this season, the 31-year-old has demonstrated solid performance, securing 27 points through six goals and 21 assists over the course of 35 games. With over a decade of experience in the NHL, Gostisbehere has previously played for the Philadelphia Flyers, Arizona Coyotes, and Detroit Red Wings, accumulating a total of 394 points in 654 career games.
In light of his absence, Carolina has recalled forward Juha Jaaska from their AHL affiliate, the Chicago Wolves. Jaaska, 26, has made one NHL appearance this season and has recorded 16 points in 26 games in the AHL, showcasing seven goals and nine assists. The Hurricanes aim to fill the gap left by Gostisbehere as they continue their season.
