The Chicago Blackhawks have cut four players from their training camp roster as part of their preparation ahead of the season. The players, Marek Vanacker, Martin Misiak, Alex Pharand, and Ty Henry, will return to the Ontario Hockey League to continue their development.
Vanacker, the Blackhawks' 27th overall draft pick, had an impressive stint in the OHL with the Brantford Bulldogs last season, scoring 36 goals. Misiak, drafted 55th overall, also showed promise with the Erie Otters and will look to make strides this upcoming season.
Pharand and Henry, both unsigned, have been sent back to their respective teams in the OHL. The Blackhawks' training camp roster now stands at 49 players.
