As the 2024-25 NHL season begins, all 32 teams will wear special helmet decals to honor Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau, who tragically lost their lives in a bicycle accident. The decals feature the letter 'G' with Johnny's number 13 on the left and Matthew's number 21 on the right.

The tribute will be in effect from opening night through October 24, with the New Jersey Devils and Buffalo Sabres being the first teams to showcase the decals during the NHL Global Series in Prague.
