Florida Panthers captain Aleksander Barkov is sidelined for two to three weeks due to a lower-body injury, as confirmed by coach Paul Maurice. There is hope that Barkov will be ready for the NHL Global Series games against the Dallas Stars in Finland on November 1-2.
The injury occurred late in a recent game against Ottawa, where Barkov collided with a player while trying to prevent a goal. He was assisted off the ice by teammates after struggling to stand.
