On October 4, the NHL announced that 25 players were placed on waivers, including former Philadelphia Flyers forward Max Willman, who was waived by the New Jersey Devils.
Willman, 29, joined the Devils in the 2023 off-season after his time with the Flyers. Last season, he recorded three goals and one assist in 18 NHL games, while spending most of the time in the AHL with the Utica Comets, where he scored 12 goals in 33 games.
