This accomplishment places both Crosby and Lemieux 12th all-time in NHL history for assists. Crosby expressed gratitude for his career and the honor of being mentioned alongside Lemieux.
In addition to his assist record, Crosby scored an empty-net goal and assisted on two others, showcasing his continued elite performance.
