The Edmonton Oilers have acquired forward Kasperi Kapanen from the St. Louis Blues after he cleared waivers. Kapanen, 28, has had a challenging season so far, scoring just one goal in ten games with the Blues.
Having made his NHL debut with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Kapanen has also played for the Pittsburgh Penguins. With a total of 470 regular-season games under his belt, he has accumulated 85 goals and 124 assists. The Oilers, currently facing offensive struggles, hope Kapanen can help bolster their scoring.
