Goaltender Hunter Shepard has been assigned to the Hershey Bears after clearing waivers from the Washington Capitals. During his time in the AHL, he showcased impressive stats, including a .929 save percentage and five shutouts in 34 games.

Shepard previously helped Hershey secure back-to-back Calder Cup titles, demonstrating his capability as a reliable goaltender. The Capitals are also making roster adjustments, including assigning Ivan Miroshnichenko and Andrew Cristall to different teams.

As the Capitals prepare for the upcoming season, they are expected to sign Jakub Vrana, who is currently on a professional tryout.
