Several players from the Washington Capitals have cleared waivers, including left-wing Ethen Frank, centers Riley Sutter and Alex Limoges, and defensemen Hardy Haman Aktell and Chase Priskie. This comes as the Capitals prepare for their training camp with the Hershey Bears, their AHL affiliate, starting soon.

The Capitals are also managing their roster as Nicklas Backstrom and T.J. Oshie will be placed on long-term injured reserve. With two exhibition games left, the team is finalizing its roster ahead of the regular season opener against the New Jersey Devils.
