The Washington Capitals have completed their first round of roster cuts ahead of their second preseason game against the Boston Bruins.

Among those cut were defenseman Leon Muggli and left-wing Matt Strome, who is the brother of Capitals center Dylan Strome. Additionally, three players from tryouts were released, and 13 were assigned to the AHL’s Hershey Bears. The team will also face the New Jersey Devils the following day.
