The San Francisco 49ers have added veteran kicker Matthew Wright after Jake Moody suffered a high ankle sprain during their recent game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Moody, who had a successful season thus far, was injured while attempting to tackle during a kickoff. The 49ers evaluated several kickers before settling on Wright, who has experience in the league, including a brief stint with the team last season.
