The Carolina Panthers have signed free agent edge rusher Charles Harris, pending a physical. Harris, 29, previously recorded a career-high 7.5 sacks in 2021 with the Detroit Lions but has struggled with injuries over the past two seasons.

The Panthers are also dealing with the loss of Pro Bowl defensive end Derrick Brown, who was placed on injured reserve due to a knee injury. The team aims to bolster its pass rush, particularly after trading Brian Burns and losing Frankie Luvu to free agency.
