The Chicago Bears have interviewed David Shaw, the former Stanford head coach, as a candidate for their head coaching position. Shaw, who boasts a 96-54 record with three Pac-12 championships from 2011 to 2022, takes part in this search following the firing of Matt Eberflus on November 29.
With a disappointing finish at 5-12, the Bears are focused on maximizing the potential of quarterback Caleb Williams, the top overall pick from last year’s draft. Williams had a productive yet challenging season with 3,541 passing yards, 20 touchdowns, and an alarming 68 sacks.
