The injury occurred late in the game as Mahomes attempted a pass under pressure. Despite the setback, he managed to walk out of the locker room unaided, although he was seen limping.
Mahomes, a three-time Super Bowl champion, completed 19 of 38 passes for 159 yards and two touchdowns before the injury. The Chiefs, who are aiming for a historic third consecutive Super Bowl win, will face the Houston Texans next.
