The Denver Broncos have signed cornerback Patrick Surtain II to a historic four-year contract extension worth $96 million, making him the highest-paid defensive back in NFL history.

Surtain's new deal includes $77.5 million in guarantees and an annual average value of $24 million, exceeding the previous record held by Jaire Alexander.

This significant contract comes just days before the Broncos are set to kick off their 2024 season against the Seattle Seahawks.
