Since its introduction in 2022, the NFL has allowed players to use guardian caps during training and games to mitigate head injuries.
In Week 2, Cleveland Browns linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah became the first player from his team to wear the cap during a game. He reported positive experiences with the cap after suffering a mild hit in Week 1, expressing satisfaction in its comfort and protective benefits.
Despite its advantages, the use of guardian caps is still not widely embraced in the league, partly due to its appearance.
