Kadarius Toney, a former first-round pick of the New York Giants, was arrested last week following allegations of assault on a woman in Douglasville, Georgia. The incident occurred on January 14, leaving the victim with visible injuries, including marks on her neck and petechial hemorrhaging in her eyes. Toney allegedly prevented her from calling 911 by taking her phone during the attack. Following the issuance of an arrest warrant, he was taken into custody on February 6, facing charges of aggravated assault and obstructing emergency calls, with a bond set at $25,000 for each count.

Toney was drafted by the Giants 20th overall in 2021 after a standout college career at the University of Florida. After one tumultuous season, he was traded to the Kansas City Chiefs, where he won two Super Bowl titles. In September 2024, he signed with the Cleveland Browns but faced challenges and was waived in December after a disappointing season.
