The Dallas Cowboys have confirmed that cornerback Trevon Diggs will undergo surgery on his left knee and be placed on injured reserve. This injury is unrelated to the ACL tear he suffered last season. Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones mentioned that the procedure will address fluid and cartilage issues in the knee.
Despite his efforts to contribute, Diggs has faced multiple injuries this season, including calf and groin issues. He has recorded two interceptions and 44 tackles in 11 games. Jones expressed hope that Diggs could be ready for the start of the next season.
