This decision comes as running back Dalvin Cook remains on the practice squad, while the team will utilize Rico Dowdle, Ezekiel Elliott, and Deuce Vaughn at running back, along with fullback Hunter Luepke.

Cropper's elevation provides additional support at receiver, especially with CeeDee Lamb dealing with a shoulder injury, although Lamb is expected to play. Butler recently made his NFL debut after being signed from the USFL.
